Our premier fundraiser, Bike to Bay, is back on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am–1:00pm! Bike to Bay is HTS’s annual community celebration where participants can ride, jog, walk, or scooter along the scenic Palo Alto Baylands.
This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 25 years of Hope Technology School, and we’re excited to mark this milestone together at Bike to Bay.
Registration is $40/participant and includes a shirt, lunch, bounce houses, carnival games, and prizes, all in support of our incredible school community.
Our schoolwide fundraising goal this year is $35,000 (approximately $300 per student). In honor of our 25th anniversary, we’re encouraging families to ask for $25 pledges for 25 years of HTS—though every contribution, of any amount, makes a difference (see our pledge information below)

Celebrating 25 years of Hope!
This year’s Bike to Bay falls on 25 years of Hope Technology School! We will proudly celebrate our quarter of a century of inclusive and innovative learning. We are filled with gratitude for the students, families, alumni, and staff who have shaped our story and propelled our mission.

As we reach schoolwide goals, classes have the opportunity to win prizes!
Note: Individual classes may have their own independent goals for their class! Please contact your student’s teacher for details.

Important dates
- March 3 – April 29: Registration period
- First class to register all students wins a prize!
- April 10th: Last day to sign up for a family and corporate sponsorship
- NOTE: Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after this date
- April 29th: Online registration closes
- Families will still be able to register in-person (Cash and checks not accepted day-of)
- April 30th: T-shirt distributions
- May 2nd: Bike to Bay!
- May 31st: Pledges due

Bayland trail routes
There will be mile markers along the course as well as HTS staff along the path to guide. You must accompany your child as they ride the course.
There are three course options for Bike to Bay!
You may choose the course which best suits your family and feel free to turn around at any point.
Note: Dogs are not allowed on the Baylands Trail.
