Register today for Bike to Bay!

Our premier fundraiser, Bike to Bay, is back on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am-1pm! Bike to Bay is HTS’s annual community event where participants can ride, jog, walk, or scooter along the scenic Palo Alto Baylands.

We’re excited to bring back our carnival games, a taco lunch, bounce houses, and prizes this year as we come together once again to support our outstanding school.

This year we have a school goal of $35,000 (approximately $375 per student).

Let’s work together to reach our goal and make this year’s Bike to Bay the best one yet!

Getting started

All Bike to Bay attendees must complete a registration form, submit a liability waiver, and pay the $35/participant registration fee. This fee includes:

  • Entry to the event
  • Event t-shirt
  • Lunch
  • Access to all games, activities, and prizes
Note: Your registration will not be complete until a registration form, full registration payment and liability waivers are received for each member of your party.

A liability waiver is required for all members of your party going on the trail (including your student), even if they are not biking.

  • Download or print the attached liability waiver. A copy will also be sent home with your student.
  • Completed forms can be returned to their teacher or dropped off at the front desk.
  • Forms may also be emailed to tellmemore@hopetech.org.
  • You may also fill them out at the registration table on the day of, but we recommend filling them out in advance to prevent a long wait.

Collect pledges by using a physical pledge sheet or sign up for your Pledgestar page to begin collecting pledges and donations.

To make fundraising easier, we’ve also included a sample fundraising letter you can send to prospective donors, breaking down the goal further.

Bayland trail routes

There will be mile markers along the course as well as HTS staff along the path to guide. You must accompany your child as they ride the course.

There are three course options for Bike to Bay!

You may choose the course which best suits your family and feel free to turn around at any point.

Note: Dogs are not allowed on the Baylands Trail.

Starts at the rear of the school and goes to the left to end at Faber Place and then turns around. Recommended for Preschool

Starts at the rear of the school and goes to the left to mile marker 1, pass mile marker 2 up to the fork in the road where the paved road ends and then turns around.

Starts at the rear of the school and goes to the left to mile marker 1, pass mile marker 2 up to the fork in the road and makes a full loop around back to HTS.

A few things to note regarding the third course: it is a gravel trail (non-paved); therefore, it is upon each participant to determine whether their transport can handle the course.
