Student learner goals

Our school-wide student learner goals (SLGs), prominently displayed in every classroom, represent what we aim for students to know, accomplish, and demonstrate during their time at HTS.

Students will be active participants in learning to grow in understanding and become competent individuals. Hope Technology School encourages innovation and creativity by fostering teamwork and allowing students to design projects to meet learning goals in line with California’s State Standards.

Students will learn to live in community with one another despite individual differences by adapting to the behaviors and learning from the experiences of others. Students develop personal qualities that foster community and carry on through life such as participation, acceptance, positive conflict resolution, and empathy.

Students will be equipped in the areas of communication, self-management, executive functioning and organization in preparation for future life and career.

Students will become proficient users of technology to learn and to participate in society. They gain experience in the understanding and creation of various media and innovate ways to effectively apply technology to learning and interacting with their community.
