About the HTS after school program

Hope Technology School’s after school program offers a nurturing and safe environment for children to continue their growth and learning beyond the school day. Our program fosters strong community bonds and encourages students to deepen the friendships they build at school through a variety of engaging activities. Tailored to the interests of our students, these activities include outdoor recreation, games, arts and crafts, STEM projects, and other creative pursuits. Additionally, we provide academic support with homework help, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.

Aligned with our mission, the after school program challenges students to reach their full academic potential, values inclusion and diverse perspectives, and equips them with technological skills for positive impact. By nurturing confident and compassionate leaders, we strive to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society.

Summer after school

Because HTS runs year-round, the fun continues into our summer after school program. Summer is a six-week program often with a different weekly theme and themed activities.

Hours are 2:30-4:30pm Monday-Thursday during the regular school year, and 1-4:30pm during the summer. See our tuition page for pricing.

All enrolled students are eligible.

Alongside our after school director, teachers and paraeducators work together to ensure the children thrive during our after school program.

Yes, enrolled students may join at any time during the year. We also allow for day drop-ins. For rates, visit our admissions page.

What measures are in place to ensure the safety of the children?2024-08-21T15:22:04-07:00

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our students in after school using the following measures:

  • Monthly safety drills practiced at the school. 
  • Schoolwide expectations including responsibility, respect, inclusion, and safety. Expectations are reviewed often and positive examples of students are rewarded.
  • Schoolwide positive behavior plans that include self reflection, consequences, communication with parents, and restorative plans ensure students feel safe at school and understand the impact of their decisions.
  • Teacher-to-student ratios are maintained for supervision, preventing potential mishaps or negative interactions.

After school program teachers are always available to speak with parents and can be contacted via email. Parents may also utilize the Bloomz app for communication.
